Ostara, the Pagan holiday celebrating the spring solstice/Vernal equinox, occurs on Saturday, March 20th, 2021 this year. Finally, it’s spring time! Gone is (hopefully most of, depending on where you live!) the snow, and cold, and dark, dreary days! Energetically, mother Earth awakes from her slumber and you can see that energy everywhere- warmer weather, budding and blooming plants, chirping birds, and awakening insects. Energy of renewal and rebirth and resurrection are here. The same energy flows within you, busy witch! And what better time to get busy doing some magick than during such an energetic season?

Some ideas for celebrating Ostara are cleaning your home, planning and focusing on growing new intentions, and planting seeds for plants/starting a garden! Cleaning your home can be both physical and energetically- saging the home to banish all the negative energies, and going through what you’ve accumulated over the winter that you no longer need. New intentions and ideas can be “planted” now and cared for over the upcoming months to be manifested. Lastly, quite literally, you can start that garden you’ve had in mind- be it an indoor herb garden or an outdoor flower patch, this is the time to sow your seeds.
